London: the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) charged the activist of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) Gulfam Hussain to issue threats of violence to the members of the Sharif family and for having conducted the act of violence.
Sources said Hussain had been charged and placed in police custody. He will appear before the court in the next two days. He was arrested four days ago when he violated the police conditions by approaching Sharif family apartments the day Nawaz Sharif reached London.
The initial complaint to the police was filed by Khurram Butt, the Youth Wing Chief of the United Kingdom, who recently asked the University of Oxford against the offer of Imran Khan to become Chancellor.
Butt said: “Gulfam was charged by the CPS. The CPS confirmed that Hussain was charged with violence, harassment and harassment.
In mid-January this year, Scotland Yard had released Gulfam Hussain on bond, but forbidden him to go near the Avenfield apartments where the members of the Sharif family live.
Hussain, who was in PML -N until PTI was joined last year, was arrested by police on January 17 for threatening to harm Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and other Sharif family members, including a threat to explode Park Lane’s dishes – live on Tiktok.
Gulfam Hussain had spoken to Geo News Immediately after his release in January. He said: “The police forbid me to approach the Avenfield Avenfield apartments or I will be arrested again. I am on deposit until April. The police arrested and showed me videos that I downloaded on Tiktok. These are political statements. I don’t believe in violence. I will continue my struggle.”
He also confirmed that the police had seized his four mobile phones while the investigation continued.
He said he was upset after the founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, was sentenced in the 190 million pound sterling case. He said: “I went there for the show live because some supporters of PTI asked me to prove my loyalty and I had to show them that I am really against the sharifs.”
In one of Tiktok’s recent shows, activist PTI threatened to explode the Avenfield apartments. He had threatened by speaking to his followers of Tiktok that he “would drag” the Sharif family in the streets of London and that he “avenged” if Imran Khan is injured in Pakistan.
Hussain was a vocal supporter of PML-N until about four months ago. He used to fight with PTI supporters outside Avenfield apartments and elsewhere.
He then joined PTI and became vocal on PTI’s social networks. He used to go to Tiktok daily and left his job as a chef formed to focus on live shows.
