Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif embarked on an official two -day visit to Saudi Arabia today, accompanied by a high -level delegation, at the invitation of his Saudi counterpart and the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz should meet the Saudi Crown Prince, who is also the Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
“Discussions will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas, including trade and investment, the well-being of the Ummah Muslim and regional peace and security,” a spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Bureau in a press release on Thursday.
“The Prime Minister will also express his gratitude to Saudi leaders for his constructive role in the de-escalation of the recent Pakistani-Indian conflict.”
The visit of the PM Shehbaz coincides with the rituals of the Hajj underway in the Kingdom and the celebration of the AID UL Adha, which will be marked in Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
In addition, this visit underlines the lasting and deeply rooted relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, based on shared faith, mutual respect and a solid strategic partnership.
He also reaffirms the commitment of the two nations to improve economic and diplomatic commitment, aligning the vision of Saudi 2030 Arabia and the development of Pakistan.
“Prime Minister Sharif’s visit is expected to further consolidate Pakistani-Saudi relations and open new paths for multifaceted collaboration,” said the press release.
