Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that a pre-Mousson meteorological system should affect the Sindh oriental regions from Saturday evening.

According to the Met Office, most areas of the Sindh should remain extremely hot and dry on Friday.

However, on Saturday, rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms can occur in isolated areas of Tharparkar and Umerkot.

Strong winds and precipitation are also expected in the regions of Ghotki, Sukkur, Jacobabad and nearby,

Meanwhile, Karachi remains in the grip of hot and dry time, with maximum temperatures likely to hover between 37 ° C and 39 ° C in the coming days, weather analysts announced on Friday.

The meteorological department provides that most parts of the Sindh will remain extremely hot and dry throughout the day, while a disturbance of the sea breeze on Karachi and other coastal areas should persist for several days.

Analysts have attributed the disruption to a combination of wind circulation over the Gujarat region of India and the presence of a Western meteorological system, which can also contribute to the increase in heat intensity in Karachi.

The current heat wave through Lahore continued on Friday, temperatures going to 44 ° C and the intensity of the heat reported to 47 ° C, according to the meteorological department. The meteorological authorities have attributed the extreme time to a period of prolonged drought between May and June.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Department Met indicated that the heat wave had remained severe in most districts, including Peshawar, where temperature has reached 40 ° C and should reach 44 ° C.

The humidity levels in provincial capital have been recorded at 52%. The ministry also noted that temperatures in the region had increased from 6 ° C to 7 ° C compared to seasonal averages.

Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu have saw temperatures peaks at 47 ° C. Light precipitation has been planned for Peshawar and various KP districts from Friday.

The authorities have recorded temperatures nearly 48 ° C in a large part of the Cholistan desert. The meteorological department expects the intense heat to persist in southern Punjab for the next two days.

Residents of the region have indicated that the water reserves in the desert have dried, causing serious livestock difficulties. The reports of the affected areas have suggested the deaths of livestock and forced migration due to dried wells and extreme temperatures.
