The former Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, again criticized India’s decision to suspend the Industry Water Treaty (IWT), calling it illegal and unilateral move “which threatens regional peace and stability.
Pakistan remains determined to solve all the outstanding problems with India through dialogue, said former Foreign Minister during a speech to a European reflection group in Brussels.
A high -level Pakistani parliamentary delegation, led by Bilawal, is currently in the capital of the European Union of Brussels after successful visits to Washington, New York and London to demystify Indian propaganda perpetrated after the recent conflict between the two countries.
Upon his arrival in Brussels, the delegation was warmly welcomed by the Pakistan ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Rahim Hayat Qureshi and officials displayed at the Pakistani Embassy.
The purpose of the visit to the delegation appointed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is to present Pakistan’s position on recent tensions with India and to underline the importance of resolving the question of Jammu-et-Cachemire in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and the wishes of the Kashmir people, a press release.
The president of the PPP said that the actions of India constituted weapons environmental resources, which could have dangerous consequences.

“The suspension of the treaty is equivalent to disrupting peace in the region,” he told New Delhi that Pakistan’s response would be inevitable if India continued on this path.
Addressing the recent tensions of Pak-Indre, he said that Islamabad had proposed to investigate the pahalgam incident, but New Delhi rather responded with “an uninsured assault”.
“Modi’s government has not yet been proof of Pahalgam’s attack,” said PPP president.
Stressing the need for regional stability, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that peace in South Asia is closely linked to the resolution of the cashmere dispute in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (USC).
He also warned that current Indian government’s current policies, in particular within the framework of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, undermines peace efforts in the region.
“Pakistan has sacrificed thousands of lives in the fight against terrorism and continues to deal with cross-border threats, in particular following the evolution of the situation in Afghanistan,” he added.
On the tensions of the Middle East, the PPP chief sentenced the recent air strikes of Israel to Iran, urging the world community to take immediate measures to defuse increasing tensions in the Middle East.
“World powers must act quickly to prevent a large-scale war in the region,” he said and warned that instability in South Asia and the Middle East could have global repercussions.
